To get your SolaSkirt installation off to the right start, this comprehensive bundle offers you all the parts for a single array, as well as tools favoured by experienced installers. Designed to give you everything you need for a simple rectangular array of up to two rows of 10 panels in portrait. It can be added to with additional kits that can be ordered separately.
This kit includes a pair of tin snips that our installers rate as the best for the job and a mini-ratchet, as well as 2 4mm Allen keys that we send out with every order.
The 30m SolaSkirt Starter Kit bundle includes:
Clamps provided are for panel thickness of 30-40mm, please contact us if you need clamps for 40-50mm panels.
Recommended tools you will need are a reciprocating saw or hacksaw, tin snips and a pair of pliers.
Start by installing the first corner. Then, install the clamps along the side of the array and fit the lengths to the next corner. You may need to cut a small piece to fill any gaps.Â
The chimney piece should be used on the top of the solar array to reduce overheating during warm months and improve ventilation. This is just a brief overview of how to fit your new bird proofing solution. The wrench and snips come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
If you are an installer and there’s a problem, we’ll send our IRATA-trained rope-access team to your customer’s site, carry out any remedial work required (free of charge if SolaSkirt was installed correctly), and check the entire installation – saving you time, hassle, and the cost of scaffolding. As far as we know, no other pigeon-proofing company offers this level of hands-on support. It’s not just protection – it’s peace of mind, for you and your customers.
